Healthy food for toddlers
My kids love french-fries, fried chicken, chips and all other fried and dried foods. Thanks to their dad, who introduced them to these kinds of food. I’ve found that when potatoes are fried in cooking oil, it produces cancer-causing agents harmful to the body. I’m also surprised to know that even cereals also have these bad agents. I forgot the name but surely I don’t want my kids to be exposed to that. So I found a better way of cooking those and making it healthy:
1. Use pure vegetable oil in frying food for your babies.
2. Instead of frying your potatoes, why not boil them and season them with salt? It’s also as tasty as french-fries but it's a lot healthier. Remember, the rawer your vegetables are the more nutritious they are for your kids.
3. Try dried fruits for a snack like dried mangoes, banana chips, and prunes instead of letting them consume those nasty junk foods.
4. Try to puree oranges, apples and grapes for juices in a blender instead of buying those instant powdered drinks.
5. Instead of using white sugar, use brown sugar or better yet honey for their hotcakes. It’s sweeter but it’s a lot healthier.
I found this recipe from a website. My kids love these because it’s cooked the way they wanted it, which is fried but you can do it in any vegetable you want. I’ll keep you posted whenever I encounter recipes of this kind. Here it is, enjoy!
